Have you hopped on the Podcast bus yet? If not, what are you waiting for? If yes, then I’d love to know your best podcasts of 2018.
I absolutely love listening to podcasts. Fortunately my job as a mail carrier and the fact that I use my own vehicle affords me the time to listen to multiple podcasts. Since I only recently started listening, I tend to binge listen to one at a time. I have listened to enough to make out a list of the best podcasts of 2018 (in my opinion).
When can you listen to podcasts?
- In the car or public transportation on your way to work
- Out on a walk or run
- When you are home doing whatever
- On breaks at work
- Anytime when you usually read a book (I’m not suggesting you give up reading!!)
I just recently became a huge fan of podcasts. Depending on what you listen to, you can learn how to do everything from meditating (not advised while driving) to growing a huge following on your blog, to losing weight the Keto way. Pick any subject and chances are there is a podcast about it. All you need to do is go into your ITunes Podcasts, type in a subject in search and presto! Take your pick.
Downloading and listening to podcasts is relatively easy. There are a few apps you can download to access them. To me the easiest is the Apple Podcast app. Here is an article to help you better understand how to do this if you are a newbie.
Here’s a list of my best podcasts of 2018 with links to their web pages.
Travel
Of course my travel podcast favorites are about France. There are podcasts out there for every destination and travel subject. All you need to do is a little search and there they are. Many travel writers like Rick Steves have a weekly podcast too about multiple destinations.

The Earful Tower by Oliver Gee
Self Care
This category is ENDLESS! Anything from healthy eating to popular diet trends, to yoga, to podcasts just for women. My podcast choices are based on living a fulfilled and happy life. My most favorite of all these on my list is This Is Fifty. You may remember Sheri Salata from her days with Oprah at OWN when it was based in Chicago. Her and her long time friend Nancy make you feel like you are sitting in on a conversation with your soul sisters. They are funny, full of energy and tackle real issues us midlife women face. The Rise podcast with wildly popularย Girl Wash Your Faceย author Rachel Hollis is my new obsession. I am in the process of binge listening that one out on my mail route.

Blogging
There are a TON of business podcasts out there. If I can gain some insight into blogging and tricks on how to grow my audience, I’m all over it. Being from the if I want to learn something, grab a book school of thought, learning through podcasts is the next best thing. I find The Blogging Millionaire podcast full of actionable information to help with all aspects of running a blog. Pursuit With Purpose is tailor made for the influencer side of business.ย Melyssa Griffin knows what she is talking about. She has helped thousands of bloggers learn Pinterest with her Pinfinite Growth courses.

The Influencer Podcast by Julie Solomon
Pursuit With Purpose by Melyssa Griffin
Becoming a Pro Blogger by Darren Rowse
So that’s my list of podcasts I’m listening to right now. Next week I will probably find more.
I highly recommend to give podcasts a try. I can assure you, you will get hooked. If you listen to any now, I’d love to know which ones. Tell me in the comments please! I’m always on the search for podcasts that will make life easier and better.
